Television and movie actor Terry Crews took to Twitter Tuesday to state that he was the victim of sexual assault by a high-ranking Hollywood executive.

What happened to him?

Crews, who played in the NFL in the 1990s, wrote on Twitter that Harvey Weinstein wasn’t the only perpetrator of sexual harassment in Hollywood and added that he could “understand and empathize with those who have remained silent” about lurid Hollywood happenings, because he did the very same thing when he was a victim.

“This whole thing with Harvey Weinstein is giving me PTSD,” Crews wrote. “Why? Because this kind of thing happened to ME. My wife n I were at a Hollywood function last year n a high-level Hollywood executive came over 2 me and groped my privates.”

He continued, “Jumping back I said What are you doing?! My wife saw everything n we looked at him like he was crazy.”

“He just grinned like a jerk,” Crews continued. “I was going to kick his ass right then — but I thought twice about how the whole thing would appear. ‘240 lbs. Black Man stomps out Hollywood Honcho’ would be the headline the next day.”

Crews, who is 6-3 and about 245 pounds, revealed that the executive called him the day after the incident and apologized but did not reveal the motivation behind the bizarre happening.

Why did Crews remain silent about the incident?

The football player-turned-actor revealed that he didn’t tell anyone because he felt that he would be “ostracized.”

“I decided not 2 take it further becuz [sic] I didn’t want 2b ostracized — par 4 the course when the predator has power n influence,” he explained.

Crews revealed that he did some soul-searching after the incident, and felt compelled to keep the issue to himself.

“Who’s going 2 believe you? (few) What r the repercussions? (many) Do u want 2 work again? (Yes) R you prepared 2b ostracized? (No),” he revealed.
