BINFORD, N.D. — A collision between a semi truck and an Oldsmobile was reported near Binford, North Dakota, on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at around 2:47 p.m. a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero was headed east on Highway 65, traveling to Cooperstown, North Dakota. A 2003 International Harvester semi trailer was headed south on 110th Avenue Northeast, approaching the Highway 65 intersection.
The semi driver failed to yield, and while the Oldsmobile braked, it struck the side of the semi, the Highway Patrol said.
The driver of the semi, 23-year-old Rylan Briss of Cooperstown, was uninjured. The driver of the Oldsmobile, 72-year-old Dale Kinzler from Cooperstown, was airlifted to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo. He is reported to be in stable condition.
Charges are pending for Briss. The crash remains under investigation.
