Women's soccer: Fast start sparks St. Scholastica past Cobbers | INFORUM

MOORHEAD — St. Scholastica scored twice early to fuel a 2-1 win over Concordia in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer Saturday at Jake Christiansen Athletic Complex.

Samantha Holmberg scored unassisted for the Cobbers in the 48th minute. Samantha Dalsin had two shots on goal and Cobbers goalie Breanna Nelson tallied four saves.

Abigail Shrode scored in the sixth minute for St. Scholastica and McKenzie Nelson added another Saints goal in the 15th minute.

Concordia (3-5, 0-2 MIAC) is scheduled to play Carleton on the road at 3:30 p.m. next Saturday.
